Today it's the 10th day of the "Bowls with Border"-BlogHop and it's my turn to show my bowls. Unfortunately I didn't manage to finish my quilt. As I was unwell for a long time we decided to go on vacation/rehab. So I took the half-sewn parts with me, leaving my sewing machine back at home as the car was already quite full. I improvised and appliqued the bottom bowls and their foots on background pieces and after that pieced all five parts for each block together. Well, it's far from perfect, but anyway, it's something to show you. And I'v struggeled threw handsewing as I don't do it usually if it's not applique.
As I have no cutting mat with me, I've decided to square up the blocks at home and then sew them together - I need a tiny littly bit of perfection.
I'm going to make a small runner out of it and this is how I'll arrange the blocks:

I'm sorry that I can't show more already. I'll finish as soon as possible and then show it.

Thanks to Regina Grewe for the patter and to Madame Samm for the idea to this BlogHop and last not least to Carol for hosting it.

I hope you are feeling better. Your bowls are very sweet. I checked out the remainder of your blog and was surprised to see the Victorians of San Francisco. I was born & raised in SF, but my husband and I chose to live in the suburbs to escape the weather and politics. My oldest daughter, however, lives not too far from those "painted ladies,"as they are sometimes referred to. She works as an Occupational Therapist at nearby UCSF and enjoys living in the city. Thanks for sharing, greetings from California!
